Arizona State University
Master’s study in film and media, with emphasis on interactive storytelling, transmedia, cultural analysis and emerging media technologies.

SJ Alexander is a Phoenix-based writer and filmmaker working across film, television, commercial campaigns, web media and original story worlds.
His work moves between cultural storytelling and production strategy: developing the language that gives an idea shape, then carrying that intent toward the screen. His credits include narrative work connected to Judas and the Black Messiah, Women of the Movement, Adidas, the BET Awards, Audible and independent film.
That practice also extends into education. Through The Setlife Project, he is building hands-on pathways for young Black filmmakers and creatives of color in Arizona—placing professional tools, film language and real production roles within reach.
